私たちはまだまだ多くの助けを必要としている被災地の現状を継続的に伝えたいと思っています。そこで、東北やその他の地域の方々から届いた“今の状況”や“復興に対する思い”などの情報をお伝えします。
今回は、26年度3次隊青年海外協力隊(ウガンダ・PC)の草島智道さんからのメッセージをご紹介します。
We always would like to report the current situations in Tohoku to the world because they still need a lot of supports. So we collect messages from Tohoku and to Tohoku to inform the current conditions and thoughts for revivals of the affected areas and so on.
Today we introduce the message from Mr. Tomomichi Kusajima,26-3 Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteer, Uganda, PC.

震災から5年目。月日が経つのも早いものだなと感じています。
震災以降、週末を利用してボランティア活動をしに東北へ行っていました。
震災で家族を失い辛い心境がある中でも優しく、温かく接して頂きました。
ご飯をご馳走になったり、温かい言葉をかけてもらったり、帰るときにはこっちが元気になって帰っていたのを覚えています。
震災の後に大事なものが何か気がついた。物やお金じゃない。家族や友達だ。失ったら帰って来ない。
とある方が言って言ったのを今でも覚えています。
私はこうした震災で被害にあわれた方々の会話を通し色々と考えさせられ、現在青年海外協力隊として活動しています。
まだまだ寒い日々が続いていると思いますが、ご自愛ください。
5 years have passed since the Tohoku great earthquake and tsunami happened. I feel time flies so fast.
I had been to Tohoku for a volunteer work on weekends after the disaster happened.
The local people were so kind and warm to me even though they lost their families and were having harsh time.
I clearly remember that every time they cheered me by their meals and heart-warming words.
“I have found what the important things are in my life. They are not objects or money but families and friends whom we can’t get back once we lost.”
I still remember this words from a local person.
I have learned so many things from this kind of conversations with the sufferers in Tohoku, and it has made me who I am now as a Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteer.
I think it is still cold in Japan. Please take care of yourself carefully.
